November Woolens

October has suddenly turned

and fallen into November,

the light has changed,

squashes have surfaced with all their textures

& multi-colored faces,

and a discernible chill in the air

finds me reaching into the closet for warm woolens to layer.

Though we both love

vintage woolens for ourselves (and our children),
