Red Letter Day, No. 2
On this, our second red-letter day,
I woke to silent snow falling on the high desert mesa,
and Facebook reminders of our family two years ago
when we said goodbye to Port Angeles and The Blackbird
and embarked on a new voyage,
and one year ago still in the midst of our RV journey.
We have sought out & seen many new landscapes these past two years,
reveled in the thrill of new old places,
and experienced extraordinary things we will always remember.
As of February though, we no longer call our RV home,
and we've woken to this view now for eight months...
And as I scroll through two years of photos,
I realize we've been learning to see.
To have new eyes with and without new landscapes
To see the miraculous beauty
of your everyday
and ours.
The everyday between the extraordinary.
the holy
in the mundane.
"The real voyage of discovery consists, not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."
~Marcel Proust
